Belle van Zuylen (1740-1805) was a famous Dutch writer. She lived in ‘Slot Zuylen’ near Utrecht for some time. This quilt is inspired by an antique quilt in the collection from Christopher Wilson Tate of Antique Textiles Company. It reminds us of the court gardens in that period.
Mostly Dutch Heritage fabrics + pattern needed to make this beautiful, big quilt.
