Curated Cotton Medallion Quilt
Ons nieuwe blok van de maand is van Sheryl Johnson van Temecula Quilt Co., waarbij ze zich heeft laten inspireren door een antieke medallion quilt uit 1800.
Medallion quilts waren heel populair in die periode, een stijl die vanuit Europa meegebracht is naar Amerika. Traditioneel is een middenstuk ontworpen, waar omheen een aantal randen zijn geplaatst. In dit geval is het middenstuk een 'Trip around the World'.
In the Curated Cotton collectie, heeft Sheryl haar favoriete kleurenpalet toegepast in kleine printjes: rode, blauwen, bruinen met roze en cream gecombineerd.

Kosten per deel € 49,50 excl. verzendkosten (8 delen), te starten in januari 2024. Je betaalt met deze order het 8e deel. Voor ieder volgend deel, te beginnen bij deel 1, krijg je vooraf een rekening. Met deze inschrijving verplicht je je tot afname van de hele quilt.

Sheryl Johnson's new BOM, Curated Cotton Medallion, was inspired by a vintage medallion quilt from the 1800s, highlighting one of her favorite color palettes.
Medallion quilts were a popular style at the time, a look that was brought to America from Europe. Traditionally, they feature a central motif surrounded by multiple borders. The Curated Cotton Medallion features a Trip Around the World at the center, surrounded by multiple borders of simple pieced blocks.
"In creating the CURATED COTTONS collection, I am also taking inspiration from one of my favorite color combinations. I love how the reds, blues, and browns pop with a little pink and cream added in" says Sheryl.

We will start in January 2024, and the BOM runs 8 months. When ordering, you will participate for the whole project. The price is € 49,50 (shipping excluded). Your first payment is for part 8; we will send you an invoice for the next parts, to begin with part 1.
